The Bloom!

The largest concert of the year is under way on the coast of Thazvaar, and Lux Notera is on stage in front of the whole planetary relay. Every syndicate with a reason to own him, or to silence him, has someone in the building.

Varen'Samyl Venar is under contract to keep the set running. He is old, unhurried and still lethal, and he does not care about the music. With Varen'Hela Aravel on comms above the floor, he works the service levels beneath the stage, where every fight has to end before it reaches the crowd. Somewhere in the same corridors moves Talin Buurgech, the other professional working the far side of the same night.
