Energy Wars: Episode One

Varen'Nola works the capital's mega hub, watching contracts scroll across the boards and doing the math on a life that never moves. Her coworker Tolin Ruul, a patient Jeyrhan whose family remembers what the inland costs, tells her to wait.

She takes a frontier contract instead. The episode follows the two of them from the center of the old Empire to its contested edge, where manufactories fund quiet wars over power and relays, crews sell their days to the highest bidder, and nothing the capital taught them still applies.
