About Vesselborn

Vesselborn is the story of Geba, a world that has carried an empire for six thousand years.

Seventy-one billion people live on a brown dwarf planet orbited by three stars. The empire that governs them began when Vaer'karesh united five warring nations, standardized their language, and built a structure that outlasted every person who contributed to it. Across the centuries that followed, the empire broke the Thazvaari Dominion after decades of siege, welcomed Jeyrha through diplomacy and engineering, and liberated Berinu by choice. In Ngorrhal, the people of the mountain passes gave up their ancestral names in exchange for survival and became the Frost Sentinels, whose DNA later became the genetic foundation for the Engineered.

The relay towers that bind cities, coasts, and passes into one network carry power, communication, and commerce for the entire planet. The visible empire ended in assassination and civil war. What replaced it was not a vacuum but a quieter version of the same thing: the Shadow Rule, governing from silence, keeping 71 billion lives running without ceremony or credit.

Each story follows different people in different places across the same timeline. There is no main character. There is a world, and the people in it are trying to live.

This is Geba. It began in silence. It has not yet ended.
